Employment Preparation & Development
Employment Preparation and Development Program
This program is designed to serve the needs of those clients who are unemployed, underemployed or lack significant work history. The components of the program are:
Customer Service Training – clients are taught the fundamentals of delivering quality customer service.
Employment Development – clients are taught to use various resources for job searches; correctly complete employment applications; write a resume; interviewing techniques and; state and federal labor laws.
Life Coping Skills – these classes are designed to help clients identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to cope with or overcome these obstacles.
Computer Training – clients are taught the basics of operating a PC; how to utilize the internet as a resource and research tool and; using Microsoft Office applications.
Workshops are provided in money management and consumer education.
